Events

Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation hosts a number of fund-raising events throughout the year. Profits from these events directly benefit Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation's research efforts. These events range from charity golf tournaments and silent auctions to private concerts, dinner dances and trail rides. Below is a list of our 2013 fund-raising events hosted by Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation:

Belmont Stakes Charity Celebration

The 2013 Belmont Stakes Charity Celebration was held June 6th at Bobby Flay's highly acclaimed Bar Americain restaurant in New York City. Three hundred guests enjoyed a wonderful evening which featured "The Foods of Bobby Flay." Two prominent equine industry charities will share equally the approximately $400,000 raised during the event: Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation and the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation (TRF).

The event also featured a fabulous auction of select stallion seasons and unique experiences, including a framed halter won by European Champion racehorse Frankel, two luxury vacations in Tuscany and a VIP experience (including transportation via private jet) to this year's Breeders' Cup Championships at Santa Anita Racetrack in California.

Bobby Flay was awarded the Earle I. Mack Thoroughbred Champion Award, annually given to an individual for outstanding efforts and influence on Thoroughbred racehorse welfare, safety and retirement.

On behalf of both Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation and the TRF, we thank everyone who supported the event for their commitment to equine health, safety and aftercare.
