Palace Malice Wins for Charity
| |
Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation congratulates Dogwood Stable, whose Palace Malice won the $1,250,000 Metropolitan Handicap on Saturday at Belmont Park. The Met Mile was run in 1:33.56. John Velazquez guided Palace Malice to a one-length victory over Goldencents. This was the fourth straight win this year for Palace Malice, and the foundation appreciates Dogwood Stable's generous pledge of 1 percent of the purses from his graded stakes victories. Congratulations, too, to trainer Todd Pletcher, who orchestrated the first Belmont Stakes-Metropolitan sequence by any horse at 3 and 4 since the 1950s. | |
